Andalusia has around 85 golf courses, of which over half are on the "Costa del Golf" between Malaga and San Roque.  Just in Marbella you can find 12 of them, which makes for the highest density of golf courses of any Spanish municipity.  Add great quality of the courses, many designed by the world's best golf course architects, the temperate climate with mild temperatures and few rainy days all year round and you have all the ingredients for great golf vacations.  On this background, we are very happy to now be able to offer a new golf service to our clients:  from the complete package with the hire car and the rounds of golf that you want to the individual green fee on a specific golf course.

Much the same way that you are used to from our car rental service, now you can also take advantage of our relationships to the Costa del Sol golf courses in the most simple and comfortable way.  No matter whether you come alone or in a group.  According to your specific needs, we can advise you on the most appropriate cars and courses and prepare a specific golf holiday offer for you.  We can organise your rounds of golf on any of the public golf courses in the area and in certain cases we can offer you better rates on the Green Fee than what you would find calling the golf courses directly.

Etiquette: general rules for golfing on the Costa del Sol

Handicap requirements can vary, but usually are between a maximum of 24 to 28 for men and 32 to 36 for women.  Possibly you will have to show your handicap certificate to the caddie master before you start play.  Nowadays, all courses only allow soft spikes.  Cell phones should be switched off when on the course and the dress code is smart/casual.  There are no fixed rules, but your shirt should at least have a collar and jeans are a no no.  Use your own judgement and in case of doubt rather stay on the conservative side.  During some periods like Easter time, play gets quite busy, so be sure you arrive well ahead of your scheduled tee-off time so you do not lose your slot (and have the time for a little warm-up).  

Finally, don't forget your sun tan lotion and take a hat or cap.  Although most courses have excellent service and provide various water points throughout the course, a bottle of water in the bag has not hurt anybody yet.

Terms&Conditions for reservations, payment, changes and cancellations

All green fees have to be pre-paid at the time of the booking.  We accept Visa, Mastercard or bank transfers.  Changes and cancellations up to 3 working days before scheduled play are usually free of charge (on some courses and for groups larger than 4 players longer cancellations periods may apply).  No-shows, later changes or cancellations will be charged at 100%.

For players without a license from the "Real Federación Española de Golf" there is a mandatory insurance in Spain.  On some courses this insurance of currently 2,- Eur is already included in the Green Fee, but on others you may have to be pay it directly to the Caddie Master on the day of play.

If a course is closed due to bad weather or other circumstances you will receive a full refund on your pre-paid green fee. Your voucher will be stamped "Course-closed" by the caddie master and should be returned to us for the full refund.  Alternatively, depending on your preference and any specific course's offering you may receive a "rain cheque" or "free play day".  When courses are closed after you have started your round the decision regarding a refund is usually at the discretion of the local caddie master.   

N.B.:  If you decide not to play due to bad weather but the course remains open you will forfeit your green fee.
